Polonnaruwa is the second kingdom to be created on the island, and it is located in the Cultural Triangle. It was the administrative center until it succumbed to Chola invaders from India in the 14th century, when it was established as the capital in 1056 AD. Many artifacts of monarchy, including places of worship, monuments, and relics of royalty, are strewn throughout the modern city.
This ancient city has now become a modern city which is developed with the 21st century. The most valuable kingdoms, temples, statues and world heritage sites.
